Beth smiled as she hugged Ace and the began to walk to her mothers office. She was happy that they were together again. He really was the best friend she had ever had in her life time. As they walked she noticed that he wasn't paying attention to anything around them except for the ground. She wanted to ask him what he was thinking about but she decided it wasn't a good idea , so instead she looked around the castle as they walked. She wasn't sure what she was going to say to her mother but she had to think of something fast.
She didn't know what he mother was going to say about giving Ace his wand back but Beth was determined to get it back for him. After all it was her mother and she could be a very persuasive person , so she hoped her charm would work in this situation. She ran a couple ideas through her mind before she decided that she really had nothing. She was just going to come up with something when they got there.
As they got to her mothers office she smiled over at Ace and then laughed. " Well here goes nothing " . She then knocked and waited . The door swung open to reveal her mother sitting behind her desk writing something out on a piece of parchment. She didn't look up as they entered the room, she just remained writing things down. As they both walked forward into the room , Beth looked back at Ace and smiled before she walked over and leaned against her mothers desk.
" Mother , can we talk to you about something?"

The door swung open and he lingered behind it for a moment, unsure if he was supposed to advance into her office. He felt improper, he hadn't really sat in her office before outside of the few visits he encountered as being Beth's friend. Her office was organized in comparison to the overflowing areas of the Verto's office. Walking in, shifting his feet slowly across the threshold he gave a quick glance at Beth standing behind her with his arms stowed away in the coats pockets. He couldn’t speak; he left all the words up to Beth as it was her mother and not his.
He saw it there, simply sitting at the side of her arm and he felt like going over and grabbing it. He could never do that though, it was his but she was holding onto it for some reason. Maybe he could distract her long enough to grab it and then run out of her office as quickly as they had entered, no, no that plan was not going to work either.
He sat off balanced from her desk, wanting to sit down in the chair that lay in front of the desk but he couldn’t get his feet to work properly. Perhaps patience would end up paying off and he would receive his wand back, the comfort of being a wizard was having a trusty wand. "Hello professor Lena..." he muttered loud enough so she could hear it, he didn't want to say anything else besides a simple hello. What harm would a hello be to him, that wouldn't hinder him getting what he wanted, would it.

Lena sat in her office trying to sort through things that needed to be done. She vigorously wrote down things that needed to be repaired and charms that needed to be put on the school . She stopped every now and again to think and dip her quill into more ink before she wrote more and more down onto the parchment.
The events of the last two days had fogged her mind up and it was hard to think of anything else. She was utterly and completely relieved that Ace had been found and that he was alright. She was happy that her daughter was happy also but at the same time she had a nagging feeling in the back of her mind. It was the feeling that the ministry could attack once more at anytime and they would never get a memo or a warning or any kind. As she thought of this she wrote down more charms to be put on the school.
When the knock came at her door she quickly waved her hand and it slowly opened to reveal Beth and Ace. She didn't even need to look up to know it was them , she just sensed it as soon as they walked in . She did however look up when Beth spoke and then turned her attention to Ace as he said hello to her. She smiled and moved her hand to motion for him to sit in the seat that was across from her. She didn't motion for Beth to sit because she knew by her tone that she wasn't going to have a seat anyway.
" Hello Ace, how are you feeling? I didn't get a chance to tell you earlier , what with Verto talking none stop and this one trying to hustle you out of the room " she motioned to Beth with her quill. " But i am over joyed by the fact that you are alright. You really gave us all a fright there." She smiled at him and for once in two days her voice was surprisingly calm. Lena then turned her attention back to her daughter and laughed. "Now i know exactly why you both are here. I can tell by the way that you keep eyeing your wand Ace." .
She folded up the parchment that was in front of her and placed it neatly to the right side of her desk. She then set down her quill and picked his wand up. " This is a very nice wand Ace, I can see why it chose you. Verto was fussing over it so i had to take it from him. He ran a few tests on it but when he didn't find anything, that made him aggravated so he decided to do more skilled tests. I just managed to save your wand before they tried to blow it up to see what it would do . " She laughed and shook her head. " There is a hole on Vertos office floor if you think I'm lying" She added after seeing their expressions. She then stood up still holding his wand and walked over to the window and looked out it.
" I'm really not supposed to give this back to you until we can trust you enough to not do something drastic, but i don't think its safe for anyone to be without their wands at this point so I'm going to give it back to you . I trust you enough , and thats really all that matters. If Verto says something i will deal with him." She announced as she walked over and handed it to Ace. " Be careful with it now, don't make me regret giving it back to you " . And with that she smiled and then walked back behind her desk and sat down.

He had finally received what he had wanted, holding it in his hand he felt the extension of magic that flowed through him into the piece of the wand. He was ecstatic he had been given his wand back, he wanted nothing more then to stow it away as a close keepsake forever. He finally took a seat, breathing in a sigh of relief and smiling. “Thank you professor. I am glad to have gotten this back in the state of which we are in now. So, don’t stress too much over this whole ordeal, I know you and Verto were rather worried but I managed to escape though I account pure luck for that. I’m ok …” The way he ended his little speech sounded more like a lie, in reality he wasn’t ok, he simply could not be just ok
Getting to his feet and thanking her he walked off with Beth down the familiar corridor, watched by the familiar portraits. The bulge in his pocket was a sign of victory in his mind, he had gotten his wand back and now he could set out to do what he had to do. For the greater good of wizards, revenge stuck itself like a unbreakable plaque plastered on a wall. The bells rung singling lunch was arriving, his hunger was felt more and more the closer they got to the Great Hall. He still was acquiring wide-eyed looks from students as if he was a ghost simply floating along. He was shocked that someone hadn’t decided to ask for his autograph, though he was a ham and would’ve singed them gladly.
Squinting past the collection of students that gathered, he pushed and pulled Beth along until they arrived at the Hufflepuff table. He felt uncomfortable sitting with his fellow Ravenclaw students, amongst them was like being put under a microscope and he dreaded going to his four-posted bed where he’d be unable to sleep from stories being passed around the fire. He wasn’t any better of at this table, though most people in Hufflepuff didn’t bother with him as he wasn’t in their house. Spooning in the tomato soup, pieces of bread, each more filling then the last. Rushing the heat of the soup down with butterbeer, though it didn’t’ really quench his thirst.
