Cadmus twisted his footing around and left the office, letter still located in his pocket. This time though his venture back would not simply be himself, trailing along behind were two rather odd house elves, which were more intent on finding edibles than actually, following Cadmus to Hogsmeade. To invade their tracking would have been no difficulty on the part of Cadmus, after all his skills were note worthy. Along the trail the snow drifted, covering their past footsteps with piles of newly laid snow. He tightened his jacket around him, pushing onward through the snow. Nearly impossible to see a few feet in front of him he withdrew his wand and flicked it, muttering lumos and the wand illuminated. The light bounced off the snow, amplified their path and they continued on. It was the darkness or the cold but his body was becoming numb, they were nearly at Hogsmeade, they could see the very tops of the buildings.
Arriving by foot on the direct spot he climbed over one last branch and helped the two shriveling house elves over. “Perhaps we should go inside and get warm, she’s been expecting me.” His sentence was barely audible over the harsh conditions of outside, he pointed his wand at the building and the house elves went off in that direction. Four loud bangs broke through the wind, spiraling white streaks filled the street, Cadmus dove through the air and had his wand pointed at four figures.
“Bloody nearly shot your head off Cadmus can not be too safe you know.” One of the figures was a tall burly man with a thick white mustache that seemed to encased his mouth like a picture frame He lowered his hand and helped Cadmus to his feet, together the five of them entered The Three Broomsticks.
“I nearly froze my arse off out there – we kept popping here every few minutes expecting you to be there. I’m glad you finally showed up, we’ve been worried something happened at the Castle.” A young petite woman spoke up, shaking off the snow from her cloak and hanging it up at the door
“Well I was delayed – what we figured was happening is indeed. I don’t think the five of us will do much to prevent it but at least we know where he may be now.” Cadmus spoke as the four turned their attention to only his words, the house elves were busy sipping up hot cocoa that bar maiden served them “Funny things they are, never thought they’d step foot in here.” The woman remarked, lifting her eyebrow at them
