The circular room was filled with seats, the seats were occupied by the professors of Hogwarts. Numerous faces sat patiently waiting Verto as he began to speak, absent form the meeting was the pet phoenix of Verto's.
"As I am sure Lena has sought you out today you've heard the word that I will be leaving the school." He looked at Lena, smiled and began again "Undoubtedly so you were both angry and fearful at the thought of the ministry. While I can assure you this deployment from Hogwarts was not by personal choice, I believe it will be for the better. I you can also be rest assured I will strengthen each jinx and counter curse upon this school, the statues and portraits are on high alert and have I'm gone over the boarders of this school personally. While - there is no definite answer if the ministry will be able to intrude the school, I hope this is not the case."
He sat behind his desk, resting his head on his palms. His soul felt heavy, he was under constant stress from the ministry and other worries. "With respect to you - I will leave Professor Lena in charge of the school during my departure which I hope will be short. She has been aware of the reason for my absence, though for reasons that had me confused previously, I did not tell her the exacts." He sighed, his breathing was heavy
"To those who are aware of my past, or have picked up one of the numerous books written about me." He waved his hand at a stack of books "You are indeed aware of my brother, the very same brother who has been gone all these years. I've heard rumor that my brother is located in the southern mountains."
He stopped talking and sat there, waiting for a reaction from them.

Arisoto sat there, taking in what he said, worrying about the fate of the castle and, more importantly, the fate of the students.
She kept her eyes upon him as she thought it out. She thought about everything he was telling her.
Looking over at the books, countless of them she had read, before turning to him.
"Alexander..." Her voice was so low some of the professors hadn't heard her.
Slowly she stood up and spoke louder. "Alexander. How do you know you can trust these rumors? What if it is all just some set-up to get you there?"

Lena sat in a chair with her arms folded watching everyone around the room shift ever so often awaiting Verto's speech. She couldn't help but worry about them as well as the students with the thought of Verto leaving again. As Verto began to speak she turned her head and listened to him as he explained everything to all the Professors. She pretty much knew everything he was about to say so instead of staring straight at him she looked around the room and thought about the millions of talks they had, had in his office.
She shook her head to clear it and then turned her attention back to Verto. As she listened to him talk about how he would make each jinx and counter curse on the school stronger she just hoped that it would be enough to keep the ministry out . She didn't so much fear for her life as she did for everyone else's that would be in danger if the ministry attacked again.
She nodded her head as he stated that she would be left in charge again , which everyone pretty much already knew. She frowned as she continued to listen to him talk about his earlier departure. She had been sure he had told her everything there was to his trip but from what he said he hasn't told her the exacts. She sat up straighter in her seat waiting for him to explain further what he was off to "look" for.
As he mentioned his brother her mouth fell open and she sat there stunned . He hadn't mentioned his brother or anything along those lines in years and now all of a sudden he had a tip off where his brother might be. She closed her mouth and just listened to Arisoto ask him her question. She shook her head again and this time began to rub her head. This whole situation sounded bad to her.

Settling himself behind his desk he paid close attention to the concerns the professors brought up, most importantly from Professor Arisoto. While he did not know exactly how to respond to that particular question he knew his reliance was trustworthy. "Ah - I had a feeling that question would arrive upon us. At last I must admit at first I thought it was a mere trick however through much research I firmly believe at last this is indeed my brother I've been looking for."
He clenched his wand, speared a piece of paper in the center and the paper ignited. A swish of his wand the ashes evaporated into thin air, nothing more of the parchment was left.
"At last, I can assure you that I've strengthened the protections around this castle. I have guards lingering around Hogsmeade to give you the earliest warnings, among other protections I believe our friends in the north have been keeping a close eye upon this castle. I have full trust in both Lena, and the rest of you." He stood up and the staff followed suit, he slid his wand across the door and it popped open
One by one they climbed through the door, following the headmaster down the spiral staircase and out on to the fourth floor. He bid them a farewell and jotted off towards one of the numerous other areas in the castle. His appearance gave the school a warm feeling, they knew as long as Verto was around the school was safe.

Lena listened to him answer the Professors questions but she remained quiet just taking it all in. When Verto got up and began to leave his office everyone followed him out and down the staircase. She stopped and listened to him talk once more before he walked off .
She then turned back to the Professors and smiled. She said goodbye to all of them and then hurried after Verto. He was a fast walker and she just managed to catch up to him before he turned down another corridor.
"Alexander wait" She said out of breath as she caught up to him.

Seeing the headmistress she followed her, catching up to them, waving the toher professors off.
Arisoto kept quiet as she caught her breath, before she looked up at Verto.
As she walked wirth them she looked around, once again taking in the magnificance of the castle.

He stopped like a child being called by his mother, turned on foot around to look at her . "Yes?" His voice trailed off through the empty halls, it felt damp and baron like nobody was really out there
His question was interrupted by the appearance of Arisoto, he smiled, returning his attention back towards Lena.
"What is it, my dear?" He paused, looking behind his spectacles straight at her as if he could see in to the very depths of his soul He didn't really have to ask her what was a matter he could easily look into her thoughts and prod through them and find the answer himself. He broke his gaze at her for a brief moment and looked at Arisoto, whom was looking up and down the walls as if a door was meant to appear.
"I'm afraid unless you know something we don't - a door will not appear there." He chuckled, it was a good way to break apart the tense aroma

Arisoto chuckled softly, pushing her hat back upon her head.
"Oh no. Its just Hogwarts still amazes me after all this time."
She gave them a small smile and then continued looking at the walls.

Lena stopped right behind him and took a deep breath trying to gain her composure. She thought for a minute about what to say but before she could say anything Professor Arisoto came up next to her and began to look at the wall. She couldn't help but chuckle as Verto spoke to her and this gave her a little more time to think about what to say.
She then looked at Verto and sighed. There were so many things she wanted to say to him but she couldn't bring herself to say any of them. Instead she looked down at the ground and shook her head.
" Are you absolutely sure your brother is where you think he is ? I wouldn't want you to leave and make that journey for nothing." She stated still looking at the ground. She then sighed again and this time looked up at his face. "What happens if this time you get killed . Or captured and tortured and you never come back . Alexander i have a really bad feeling about you going." She announced still looking at him.
" What happens if this school is attacked and they get through the barriers. Then what? What do we do ?" She stopped talking and shook her head again feeling horrible for trying to talk him out of leaving. She knew he had to do what he had to do and nothing was going to stop him. Not even her pathetic pleas.

"As it does me, as it does me." He chuckled along with her, letting the silence linger for awhile until it was broken by Lena He listened to each of her concerns quietly, thinking about all the memories they had held together within Hogwarts.
After she finished speaking, they began to stroll along the halls, Arisoto lingering behind them a few steps. "I completely understand your concerns Lena, I feared that would be the case but I can assume otherwise. Lena, I'm more than talented to handle anything the Ministry might send at me, I don't fear their presence in fact I feel it within these halls. I do have a sort of resentment for leaving you previous to this point but this is not with out much inner torture." Pausing, his eyes became glassy for a brief moment, his eyelashes flicked them away "I can't say that ministry won't be able to come though our barriers, but rest assured I will be alerted to that if that is indeed the case. I will return on the spot at the earliest notion somethings going to happen." Stopping his pace, he turned around to look at Arisoto
"My dear would it be possible to teach our students defensive charms, I think it would prove beneficial to them. I'd also be curious to see if you can call a few of your friends." The way he spoke it felt like she understood who he was talking about "As for you Lena, I've sealed off my office I think you can use your office. There is not way in or out of my office as the present moment, therefore it is vital you keep the gargoyle sealed as well." His voice trailed off, his eyebrow tilted and they began to walk again
"Lovely weather we are having." He remarked, smiling

Arisoto followed them, still taking in her surroundings, catching a few words now and then from Verto. "I feared.....I'm more.. talented...at...leaving you..." She was confused for a second and listened to the next part then just shrugged it off. She should pay attention more.
She turned her attention to the headmaster, nodding as he spoke to her. "I agree. I really do, and I have just the people in mind to help. Don't worry, they're on our side! Just leave it to me Sir!" Arisoto was also using her hands, motioning around as she talked. Her motioning had a few portraits laughing at her, to which she glared, and 'hmph'ed before turning back to Verto as he asked about the weather.
"Why yes it is lovely if I do say so myself." She chuckled to herself and continued walking.

Lena watched him very closely as they began to walk again. She turned her head and looked down the corridor as he began to speak again. She listened intently and nodded every once in awhile. She stopped and turned to look at him as he finished talking. She hated the fact that he was leaving but she knew it was definitely important to him if he was leaving the school at a time like this.
She remained quiet as she watched him turn to Professor Arisoto and began discussing things with her. She then put her attention fully on Verto when he addressed the office situation. She nodded and sighed. "I'm sure everything will turn out okay. If the ministry does break through the barriers all of the Professors are on alert and we will all take care of it . I'm not so much worried about the school , I'm more worried about you going out into something unknown. I know you don't believe this could be a set up but it could very well be. Your only one person Alexander. Whether your skilled or not if a group of hit-wizards or some other people attack you i fear that....." She stopped talking and just stared at him for a second.
She then sighed heavily and folded her arms. " I guess all I'm saying is , just please do me a favor and be careful. Don't get killed or captured. Come back to this school in once piece." She looked around the corridor at the many portraits and then laughed. "It basically comes down to , we both need to be aware of the things lurking in the shadows ready to take us down. Although, the way i see it is , if they haven't taken us down yet i doubt they will be able to do it anytime soon." She smiled and laughed again.
" So when do you leave?" She asked unfolding her arms and placing her arms at her sides.

Alessandro sat amongst the other professors in the large office. He watched and listened to Alexander intently, trying to focus on the words he was saying. Ever since the Ministry attacked, Alessandro had problems clinging onto reality. He even found himself blacking out for long periods of times in which he would awake in a completely different location. He figured it was due to stress but the heavy shadow hanging over him made him question it. Whenever he debated whether to tell someone or not, a sharp pain would possess him until he changed his mind.
As he looked at the Headmaster, a thought suddenly seized him. This is important information. You need to write it down! He pulled out a piece of parchment and quill and began to scribble down notes. When the Headmaster was finished he read over what he had just written.
*each jinx/counter curse strengthened *statues/portraits are on high alert *Verto is leaving...Lilac to take over *isn't aware how long he'll be gone *searching for his brother in southern mountains: doesn't give exact location *guards in Hogsmeade- will send early warnings * "friends in the north" will be keeping a "close eye upon this castle"
Alessandro folded the parchment and quickly put it in his pocket. He could feel his breath quicken as he realized what he had to do with this information. He closed his eyes, trying to understand. When he tried to tell himself that it was wrong, a powerful voice told him that it must be done. When he opened his gazed eyes, Verto and several other professors were gone. He got out of his seat. He had a letter to send.

"They are simply that my dear, a shadow, we must hold a candle to them and they vanish before us. I don’t fear death – some sense of bravado in me from early age has provided for my lack of expertise per say in some fields, the others I make up in talent. I do understand the power the ministry holds, I’ve dueled them before, I’m an aging wizard I can’t go on so nonchalantly like I have been. I must admit, I’ve made mistakes, some graver than others. We must not live in the past though Lena, for now we foresee the future upon.” He kissed her hand, then Arisoto’s
“I won’t be long – you will have an eye always upon this castle. I wouldn’t think the Ministry foolish enough.” pausing for a moment to choose his words carefully- “Fear only becomes real when you let it – remember that.” He gave them a final farewell, turning around and walking off into the darkness
A loud crack filled the hall, echoing through the castle like a canon exploding. Portraits shook, and dust creaked out of the crevasses. The snow had disappeared but the cold still remained, a figure appeared off in the distance, their clothes caught by the wind and thrashing around them violently as if to escape torture. The howling winds were harsh, ripping limbs and flinging branches but yet there was a sense of calmness about it all. The man rummaged through his attire withdrawing a wand and flicked it, a light burst from the tip and illuminated his surroundings. The light sought out ever nock and cranny it could, bouncing away the shadows with immense brightness. Using his free hand he braced himself against the wind, covering his face from any falling limber and began to walk into the forest.
The forest provided shelter – but the wind refused to silence itself, it continued to scream through the trees. The darkness was upon him, the sun was creeping slowly down the sky, being replaced with the moon. Flicking his wand a small tent appeared between two stout trees, fixating it self securely. Muttering a few inaudible words in motion to swishes of his wand, trudging over to his tent and entered. The tents outside appearance would give you an illusion it was merely big enough for one man but the inside was copious.
