Micira retreated to her Common Room in a fit of fury after retrieving her punishment. She went into the dorm and pulled her broom out of her trunk. She threw it with all of her might. It didn't matter if she broke it...it was a horrible broom and she needed to relieve her rage somehow. She felt that if it did break she would feel better... When it didn't break she threw herself onto her bed and pressed her face against the pillow. So many thoughts were racing in her mind. Those Ravenclaws, that Slytherin, those two fool of professors. She gritted her teeth, trying to hold back the tears of bitter hatred towards them all. She wanted to hurt all of them. She got much satisfaction trying to think of creative ways to get rid of that little Ravenclaw...Rani....
Micira pulled her head out of her pillow...One thought coming over all of the others. That red and gold book. She went through her bag and she found it...just waiting for her. She pulled it and stroked the cover of it. Oh, the secrets it most likely held. That alone gave her so much comfort. She opened it and looked inside. It was a bloody children's book! There were moving illustrations of witches and wizards gathered together.
"Once there was a powerful wizard named Salazarr Slytherin. He and Godric Gryffindor were fierce enemies and took every opportunity to curse eachother. One day, Slytherin thought of a brilliant plot. He gave his enemy a book, in hope that he would read it. Though Gryffindor was smarter than that....he saw right through Slytherin. Although the book was obviously cursed, he passed it down, testing his students to see who was a true Gryffindor. Those who opened it were fools and found the gold inscription inside.
Good day, my foe, you will see
The more cunning wizard is me
You have fallen for the bait
Get ready to change your fate
From dark to light
From day to night
Tonight holds your last
Say goodbye to your past
Micira finished the book. She furrowed her brow. What kind of children's book was that? She flipped the page and on the back of the page was the same poem on tattered parchment....written in gold ink. She shrugged it off and threw the book onto the ground. Feeling tired all of the sudden, she leaned back onto the pillow, looking up at the top of the four-poster bed. Thinking only of that strange poem.
