“Of course, but Firemaine you can not expect first years defending Hogwarts against the Ministry. It is but pure luck we remain here, the Ministry has the power to rip this building down brick by brick and we can not do anything but budge a few souls from the grounds with our skill.” He spoke quick, controlling his breathing while looking in the face of each of those in the room How could they expect to defend the school, his bravery hadn’t lacked but he had to be realistic about things and the ministry was but a powerhouse coming down

"You are right Sicoft, we cant expect the first years or any of the students for that matter to fight . It's way to dangerous You are also right that the ministry is way more powerful then just us few people they out number us greatly. But should we just sit back and do nothing while they destroy our school and take it over just because we think we have no chance at winning this?" Lena asked shaking her head , worry and anger flowed from each word she spoke.
" Giving up is not an option here, not for me anyway. Even though i need all the help i can get to save this school from destruction caused by the ministry, i will not in anyway shape or form force any of you into helping me. I will do it on my own if i have to , this school and these children mean everything to me. I'm not gonna give up without a fight" She was truly scared to death and she knew what Sicoft had said was right . They were no match for the ministry but they at least had to try.

You both are right and you know that I will stand by you no matter what Headmistress, you have me at your back at all times. Now as for the students, I think we should give the upperclassmen and women a choice, I mean as in 7th years a choice on whether or not they fight.

"Thank you Firemaine i am very pleased and a bit relieved to hear that , I'm delighted to have you back at Hogwarts" Lena nodded and smiled at him before pushing on to the next subject he had mentioned. " You may be right, maybe the student that are of age now should have the option to fight. They will undoubtedly have the choice though , they will by no means be forced into anything and if we decide that this is what we think should be done ,then i will make that very clear to them. I don't want them to feel pressured into fighting for this school. So guys, what do you think about this ? Should they have the option to fight or not?" She asked folding her hands in front of her as she looked around the room at the others.

“Lena it is trivial to discuss if they should be allowed to fight, the seventh years stand guard in these very halls at night and the younglings would wave a wand to defend the castle at the very onslaught of attack here.” Speaking to her, not minding the other two professors in the room, it was just her he was concerned about
“Please do not take my tongue as a sign of disrespect or treason, but Lena, Alexander would allow the students to make their decision but I don’t believe we need useless casualties here. My concern is not to clean up the mess the ministry leaves behind, nor can we presume that there will not be casualties.” He ended sitting in the soft, plush chair that sat on the side of her desk

Firemaine looked at them and nodded. "I will help train the students that want to learn. Maybe take up archery to give some of the more pureblood among those that would attack a second glance at that, thinking what could muggle weapons do to them, when they could be very deadly and dangerous against a wizard, especially if fired off from say a parapett on the school, where the wizards can't see where they are coming from, but the students can see where they are aiming."

Remaining quiet since Professor Firemaine arrived, he stood in the shadows of the others, listening intently. He had nothing against this centaur but he had many heated arguments with his kind about Divination that nearly cost him his life. This happened enough times for him to distrust and dislike all centaurs. After hearing what Firemaine had to say he stepped forward.
"No offense, Professor , even if archery wasn't a primitive source of combat, I don't think we intend to kill. I'm sure a 17 year old student couldn't bare to do it. Besides, magic is more powerful then a sharp, flying stick."

“I would have to agree with you on that Alessandro, Don’t be so naive Firemaine towards magic. A simple flick of the wand will but deflect the arrow across the room.” Sicoft aura had been filling the room, the quick witted demeanor was felt like a sting of a whip on a bare back The room felt empty to Sicoft, for the present left much to worry over, would the school face it’s finale battle.
An owl came bursting through the open window and landed against the ground, it was his owl, it was Sicofts white owl. He knelled down, flicking his wand his sliced the letter open and quickly read through the letter. “Lena …” He tossed the letter to her open hand and kept his wand pointed at the window, motioning to the other professors to raise their wands at the window

Lena had been listening intently to the men talk about the students and ways for them to fight, that when the owl burst through the window it startled her and she jumped. She didn't like the look on SIcofts face when he read the letter over before throwing it to her. She took a deep breath before looking down and reading through it quickly . She read through it once more before she set the letter down on her desk and pulled out her wand as she stood up .
"Well Gentleman it seems that we are about to have the pleasure of being joined by the minister of magic" she said still standing in the same spot but with her wand in her right hand ready to point it at anyone else who entered the room.Worry was etched upon her face but her voice remained calm and amused.
"Now I'm not sure if any of you have had the joy of meeting Alveredus W. Whittaker so allow me to give you a little information on him." Her voice cracked with sarcasm on the word joy.
"Alveredus is in no way , by any means a man that you would want to associate with on a daily baisis. He is a very unpleasant man ,for as long as i can remember he has been feuding with Alexander and since his disappearance. the hatred he has built up has been transfered onto me . His intentions are quiet clear , he will do everything in his power to get me out of this school, but seeing as hes a very short and plump man he cant do it alone so he must rely on his officials to do most of the work for him. One thing i would like you all to be aware of is his cane, i believe his wand is inside his cane and so don't turn your back to it , in case he trys to catch you off guard." she shuddered at the explanation of him . He truly was one of the most retched men she had ever had the displeasure of meeting.
Lena's face crinkled in concentration as she thought about what else to tell them. A laugh escaped her lips and she turned her attention back to the professors. " In addition, his mannerisms still perplex me to this day. He has this unusual habit of referring to himself in the third person. If you have never met him the first time he does this will seem very strange , even humorous to you but do your best to contain your amusement." she chuckled before returning her attention to the letter that still occupied a small portion of her cluttered desk.

"Dear Lena, the minister would not have the gall to appear in front of you at this time, and I can most assure you that is not his hand writing. No, that handwriting does not belong to the Minister; it belongs to my dear brother Septimus. Note the way the letter i flow, and the letter v ends extended above all letters. Yes, my dear brother will make a visit instead of the Minister, in less; the minister has belittled my brother into writing his letters which would not be beyond his tactics.” He chuckled, amused at the thought of seeing his brother so many years after they lost touch, if their father had indeed died that would’ve added more fuel to the fire between them

"They both sound charming!" He said, clapping his hands together in anticipation. This was going to be fun... He was still excited about the last Ministry attack and he couldn't help but grin as he thought about what was soon to come. "You never told me you had a brother." He said to Sicoft in false indignity. "Oh! That explains the image of the figure walking towards the castle that I saw. But there didn't seem to be any hostility...Hmm...Perhaps he'll be coming to negotiate?"

Suddenly the door burst open once more, but now standing in the threshold was a dangerously tall man with slicked back, black hair and a look to kill. His black eyes sweep over the room and he finally spotted who he was looking for. He was momentarily caught off guard by his new and grown appearance, but none-the-less he stepped forward.
"Hello....brother." Septimus said maliciously. His expression was emotionless but the hatred behind his eyes intensified as he saw Sicoft. He surveyed him for a moment. "I know you were always a freak, but you did not have to go out of your way to look the part." He said slowly and silkily so that it would impact his brother even more. He began to walk around the cramped office, letting his long fingers slide across Lena's desk. He ignored the others...This was his time to 'reunite' with his brother.
"I half expected better from you. I thought you would get over this silly obsession by now. Then again, even the best of us can be fools sometimes. But you, Sicoft, have been unusually foolish lately...Attacking Ministry members? Tt, tt. Even you cannot by that dim. I come here to warn you brother...leave now and you will not lose your life. If you stay, then this prison will become your tomb." He stopped walking about and turned to face Sicoft. He grasped his hands behind his back, looking very business-like. "If you give up this nonsense and cooperate, then I will not hurt anyone. But before you say anything, I want you know that I am not afraid to hurt you like I use to.." His thin lips curled at the corners, revealing yellow teeth. "You remember, I presume. The way I would tie you to the chair and, hmm....what did I use to call it?...Oh, yes, 'operate!' " He sighed almost happily, thinking about it and looked away, recalling the memory. "I use to be so creative. It is a good thing you were around after all...I would have never realized my true calling. Perhaps we can all discuss your leaving arrangments over a glass of Firewhiskey?" He sat on the edge of the desk and crossed his leg over his knee, an eerie smile still lingering on his pale face.

“My dear brother is but a talent less wizard who road on the coattails of my very appeased father. The difference between the people like my father and brother and myself is they feed on glory and power, feasting upon the weak and less talented to gain the positions they have taken.” He spoke ill hearted towards his family, the water that laid under the bridge was as black as his hair, the crooked river swooned his cold heart, Sicoft had no love towards his family
The door slid itself open to reveal his former brother; his gait was feeble, noting previous injury. Sicoft took pleasure in listening to his brothers rant and reasoning behind this and that, but words spoken passed through the air ignoring his internal reaction.
“Septimus, my brother how regal you’ve become with your properness and speech, dear brother has the minister made you his little puppet or are you really that benighted. Perhaps, perhaps my ignorance for attacking the ministry shows but rather I believe my fellow professors would agree that it was a defensive stance against the ministries attack. Yes, yes I believe it was those little runts you’ve been bulling in that high, distinguished position you have; yes those were the ones who attacked Lena and my fellow staff.” He spoke quick witted, not leaving a moment for his brother to insert comment of opinion
“To my knowledge, brother, your ignorance in calling me dim would prove false. Popularity, glory, that sad excuse of bravado you displayed at all those tired quidditch games provided actual adequate time for your studies, shame upon you brother. While you took your broom and good looks, I brother, was playing with that chemistry set which provided me great opportunity. Your sheltered, dim witted life was something I regret ever tagging along to, I regret many things in my childhood, our mothers’ death that you proclaimed I caused, yes I regret those things, but brother I do not regret my stance here.”
He stood from his chair, his wand cutting through the silence and with a simple flick the door sealed shut, perhaps it was naive of him to prolong his brothers stay but a duel felt warranted

Almost in an instance the door cracked along the edges and burst into a thousand little splinters. On the other side, Septimus was visible holding his wand out, looking dangerously close to using it on whoever got in his way. He no longer looked elegant or sophisticated, but more of a maniac.
"How dare you..." He spat angrily. Without warning he charged forward and shoved Sicoft into the wall. He pinned him to it by squeezing his forearm tightly and holding the wand to his throat. He was not lying before...he was not afraid to hurt Sicoft any less than all of the others in his past. In fact, he wanted to hurt him more than anyone he has ever tortured.
"You were always weak and pathetic..." He whispered almost inaudibly. "You were always a coward! You proved to me that people do not change. I am stronger than you, Sicoft...just as I was before." He sneered. "I heard from a reliable source that you were speaking foully about father. He was a great man. You did not know him as I did. We were all happy before you were born. We were a real family but you ruined that..You killed mother, turned father into a bitter man and turned me into what I am. He was always right about you....you are a waste of existance..It is fortunate for you that I did not get orders to kill you and your little friends now." He pulled away from him but hesitated to move his wand. Realizing that everyone was staring at him, he lowered his wand and sweep a hand through his greased hair. He was starting to look less vicious now.
"Perhaps we can act like adults for a moment and talk abuot our predicament." He turned his back entirely to Sicoft now. He had almost forgotten about the orders he had to fulfill. He folded his hands and looked at the woman he assumed was the Headmistress whom he heard so much about. His main target was suppose to be her.
"Excuse my manners. It has been such a long time since I have seen my dear brother, here. I have not talked to him since I graduated from this place, so you must understand. We show our compassion through our hatred. It has always been that way with our family...." He sighed slightly and rolled his eyes to the ceiling. In doing so, he realized the two other figures in the room. A confused looking Italian man and a...a centaur? He raised an eyebrow.
"Why is there a half-breed in your office? It is against Ministry regulations to have creatures like him in this school. Hmm...then again I have heard rumors that Alexander was a freak loving fool. After all he took in my brother." He chuckled slightly. "Is it safe to assume you are just as foolish? If you answer no, then I have a feeling you will not go missing as well."

“Ignorance, my brother, Ignorant fool…” his voice trailed off into a manic laughter before swirling his wand around, awashing the room in a lustrous white light, obscuring the figures from view His robes swirled violently, wrapping around his body, the room for a moment stood still, his robes motionless and the white light starred him in the face like a furious tiger. His image became heavenly, balanced between his emerald robes and inklike hair amidst the shimmering light.
“You shall not call my colleague a half blood!” His voice roared furiously, slicing the silence, like a sheet tangoing with the wind “You shall not belittle Hogwarts, the greatest school in the age of magic!” He took a slight bow downwards before slashing the air with his wand “And brother, you shall never, blame me for mothers death.” The final slash of his wand sent his brother, Septimus hurdling down the steps through the now demolished door

Lena swung around to face the door as Septimus Lestrange entered her office. Besides the brief description of this man that Sicoft had provided, she had very little knowledge of him. The brothers looked very different in looks but there was a small resemblance between them. As they began to argue back and forth Lena saw how much hatred that was between them and she knew there would be a battle in her office before they parted ways again.
She stood behind her desk watching and listening intently to what the men were addressing. It alarmed her to hear how the spoke to each other and the topics at hand made her wonder exactly what all had gone on in their childhood years.
She watched as Sicoft flicked his wand and sealed the door shut in one movement. She looked at him strangely before turned her attention back to Septimus. The reaction that came from Septimus next startled her making her take a step back, her wand still raised in the air pointed at him. The door burst in to a thousand little shards , each one flying through the air around them all. She was taken aback by how fast everything happened next, Septimus had Sicoft against the wall with his wand pointed at his throat saying things that she could hardly make out.
"Gentleman Please" she said taking a step forward at the same time Spetimus turned away from Sicoft to face her. He instantly turned his attention back to her , his business like calmness returning almost as if it had never left him.
"Thank you for that little insight into your deranged life but this is hardly the time or place for you both to be , catching up" Her voice was full of annoyance. "You have busted through my office destroying things in your path, you have assaulted one of my Professors and you are waining on my last nerve . I would like to know exactly why you were sent here, another warning i presume?" She watched as the man turned his gaze upon the others in the room. His expression changing from calmness to curiosity.
"How dare you speak of Alexander in that manner !" she yelled taking another step toward him. " First of all Who i have in my office is my choice not anyone elses, you...." but she wasn't able to finish her sentence. The room was filled with Sicofts laughter and a bright white light that seemed to make everything stay still. Sicofts screams erupted next and then Septimus was blasted out of her office and down the stairs. She stood motionless waiting for what was to come next.

Firemaine looked on with half interest and shook his head. "I'm not one to interfere, but do you think that was wise Sicoft? I mean if he has the clout that he claims, then this could be one of the worse things that you have done, even tho I found it ammusing."
